It’s the end of the world and the Devil’s time to shine. Only thing is he’s fallen in love with the Pope (and his conjoined brother Roch) and now wants to stop it. Rife with obvious Virgin Mary jokes that make Harold and Kumar seem like Hamlet and Camptown Races piano, At the End is as painful as lemon juice in your stigmata. Sloppy choreography and a bizarrely abrupt ending that has Mary giving birth to a second child of God and francophone lady-angel Gabrielle sleeping with the horsemen to save the world are just awful. Church is more entertaining than this play.

Give me a break, EYE Weekly (cont'd)
(Previous review was cut-off -- here is the end.) The show is definitely worth seeing (only three performances left!). Perhaps in the future, EYE weekly will choose a reviewer who can comment intelligently on the production, so that unintelligible reviews don't hamper the lives of new and emerging works.

Give me a break, EYE weekly.
One star online? Two stars in the paper? Get your act together EYE. I have to admit, I was flabbergasted at the initial one-sentence review -- very pitiful journalism, I have to admit. However, the now "expanded" review doesn't make much sense either. What does "Camptown Races piano" mean? Yes, I'll admit, "At the End" is not without it's flaws, but please remember, this is a one-hour production of a work yet to be fleshed out. It should potential, and I for one look forward to its evolution. The performers did well, and I found the musical numbers quite entertaining! Sure, it's not Stephen Sondheim or Adam Guettel, but it's absolutely appropriate for the subject matter it's dealing with. The humor throughout is very pointed, and unfortunately a lot was lost in the delivery, as sometimes the cast members tended to mumble or rush through the text. However, many of the jokes landed well, and the audience I saw the show with seemed to "get it". (Apparently the reviewer did not.) This show is definit

Enjoyable, great songs
A fun show with a some fantastic songs, and an absolutely unique take on the relationships between these characters who we see so often as caricatures. And jeeze, has Eye never heard of Spoiler Alerts?

Truth?
I saw the show and it was only ok. I just felt it tried too hard. I also don't think it's ever a good idea for those involved with the production to comment on a review. Let it go and have fun, complaining about a review is a waste of energy and truly takes away from the integrity of your work. Just my opinion. Also was one of the songs lyp synched?

by god it was funny!!!
I loved the premise of the show and the jokes continued to support it. Smart, funny musical comedy in both the song writing and the choreography. The writers clearly understood when to go for the big laugh and when to pull back for the subtle. Cute and witty ideas throughout the show that I won't divulge. Go and see it!
